Specialty Stores

Fortify with
EM EAS Security

A typical DIY (hardware store) or specialty store, such as a homeware, shooting & fishing store, offers a wide range of products on open display, including valuable items like tools, drill bits, paint cans, cooking ware, knives, guns, and fishing tackle, many of which have metal or metal packaging. Protect these high-risk items from theft with Tagit 3D EM EAS Systems and labels, the ideal security solution for your store.

Tagit offers a variety of anti-theft tags and EAS EM systems allowing its customers to display their merchandise in an open and secure way.

3D EM EAS PRINCIPLE

The Tagit 3D EM EAS innovative new technology is one of the most effective anti-theft security systems in today’s marketplace.

Thanks to the patented algorithm of the Tagit anti-shoplifting EM EAS System, the detection of the EM security tags occurs regardless of their position within the magnetic field. This results in high detection rates when using a standard EM EAS system.

3D EM EAS Principle – How TAGIT Technology Works

TAGIT’s 3D EM EAS system represents a breakthrough in electronic article surveillance technology. Unlike traditional EM systems, our patented algorithm ensures consistent detection of EM security tags—regardless of their orientation within the magnetic field.
This advanced 3D detection capability enables superior performance, particularly with small or irregularly shaped items, and delivers higher detection rates across all environments. That’s why TAGIT 3D EM EAS is one of the most effective anti-theft technologies available on the market today.

EM eas Labels

Tagit developed and owns the technology of security label production from raw material to finished product. The entire manufacturing process is done in-house - from casting the metal and all the way to printing a customer logo on a desired label.

There are currently more than 300 types of anti-theft security labels - all are a result of different needs of different customers.

We produce security tags for all types of EM EAS systems including Checkpoint/Meto, 3M, Old Sensormatic J and P systems, Gateway, Certus, Dialoc and others.

ROI CALCULATOR

This calculator shows you the comparison of the return of investment of the different EAS technologies. It shows the advantages of Tagit EM EAS, which are mainly used in cosmetics/pharmacy, bookstores, supermarkets and DIY.

The purpose of using EAS technology is to reduce losses caused by theft and thus increase profit/profit margin. The more efficient the loss prevention is, the more money can be made. Although the EM EAS security system is the most expensive, we should also look at the other side, which is the return of investment.

How will the investments really pay off and how will the technology really evaluate the impact on losses? This calculator will help you to make the right choice.

ROI Calculator – Compare the Real Value of EAS Technologies

Use our ROI Calculator to evaluate and compare the return on investment (ROI) across various EAS technologies. Designed for retailers in cosmetics, pharmacies, bookstores, supermarkets, and DIY, this tool highlights the long-term value of TAGIT EM EAS systems.
While EM systems may involve higher upfront costs, their superior detection rates and targeted loss prevention capabilities deliver significantly better returns by reducing shrinkage and protecting high-risk items more effectively.
The goal of any EAS investment is simple: reduce theft, increase profit. This calculator helps you assess how different technologies impact your bottom line—so you can make the smartest, data-backed decision for your business.

Tagit 3D EM – Questions & Answers

Can TAGIT 3D EM systems detect items inside aluminium foil or booster bags?

Yes. TAGIT 3D EM systems operate at low frequencies, enabling them to detect products even when hidden in aluminium foil or booster bags—techniques used to bypass traditional RF and AM systems.TAGIT labels also perform reliably on metal surfaces, rounded packaging, and small objects. Watch how

Are TAGIT EM labels compatible with other EM systems ?

Yes, with one exception. TAGIT EM labels are compatible with all standard EM systems except Meto. For customers using both Meto and non-Meto systems, dual-technology labels are available that work across platforms—including tagging at DC or during manufacturing.

Can Tagit 3D EM systems detect labels on metal objects ?

Yes. TAGIT 3D EM technology detects labels applied to metal objects—unless the metal is magnetized, which interferes with detection.

What type of EM label should I use for different products?

Larger products → use longer labels for stronger signal detectionSmaller products → use short or high-performance labels (e.g. Twin or Power Labels)
Longer labels generally improve detection range, and high-performance options boost results for difficult surfaces or formats.

What ROI can I expect from a TAGIT 3D EM system?

TAGIT systems allow you to protect more high-shrink items than other technologies, leading to significant shrinkage reduction and a better return on investment.

Are there products that cannot be protected?

Only items with magnetic properties cannot be protected. This limitation aside, TAGIT 3D EM is one of the most versatile and widely compatible EAS systems available.

What causes environmental noise interference?

Nearby devices such as air conditioners, computer monitors, special lighting, and Meto EM systems can introduce environmental noise. This is a known issue with all EAS systems—not unique to TAGIT.

How can I improve detection in high-noise environments?

If environmental noise cannot be reduced physically, you can optimize system performance using:
- Master-Master or Turbo configurations
- Sensor-based tuning

These allow fine adjustment to ensure maximum detection reliability even in challenging conditions.

What is the maximum aisle width TAGIT EM systems support?

TAGIT 3D EM systems can detect across aisle widths up to 1.15 meters with standard setups.

How can I further maximize detection and aisle width?

- Use longer EM labels where possible
- Upgrade to Turbo Mode or Master-Master configuration with sensors
-
Apply high-performance specialty labels for critical items

These adjustments allow greater aisle flexibility and stronger detection performance.
