Electromagnetic Security Solutions for Documents, Libraries & Retail

TAGIT’s advanced 3D Electromagnetic (EM) EAS systems provide unmatched physical security for a wide range of industries. From protecting classified documents and intellectual property to preventing library theft and reducing retail shrinkage, our patented EM technology offers superior detection where RFID and other systems fail.Unlike traditional solutions, TAGIT EM labels are ultra-discreet and work effectively on curved surfaces, metallic packaging, and frozen or foil-wrapped goods. Our solutions are also Tattle-Tape™ compatible, ensuring seamless integration in libraries and archives. Whether you're a government agency, university, research lab, or global retailer, TAGIT helps you secure what matters most—with field-proven results in anti-leak protection, public asset control, and high-theft product tagging.

Tagit 3D EM – Questions & Answers

Can TAGIT 3D EM systems detect items inside aluminium foil or booster bags?

Yes. TAGIT 3D EM systems operate at low frequencies, enabling them to detect products even when hidden in aluminium foil or booster bags—techniques used to bypass traditional RF and AM systems.TAGIT labels also perform reliably on metal surfaces, rounded packaging, and small objects. Watch how

Are TAGIT EM labels compatible with other EM systems ?

Yes, with one exception. TAGIT EM labels are compatible with all standard EM systems except Meto. For customers using both Meto and non-Meto systems, dual-technology labels are available that work across platforms—including tagging at DC or during manufacturing.

Can Tagit 3D EM systems detect labels on metal objects ?

Yes. TAGIT 3D EM technology detects labels applied to metal objects—unless the metal is magnetized, which interferes with detection.

What type of EM label should I use for different products?

Larger products → use longer labels for stronger signal detectionSmaller products → use short or high-performance labels (e.g. Twin or Power Labels)
Longer labels generally improve detection range, and high-performance options boost results for difficult surfaces or formats.

What ROI can I expect from a TAGIT 3D EM system?

TAGIT systems allow you to protect more high-shrink items than other technologies, leading to significant shrinkage reduction and a better return on investment.

Are there products that cannot be protected?

Only items with magnetic properties cannot be protected. This limitation aside, TAGIT 3D EM is one of the most versatile and widely compatible EAS systems available.

What causes environmental noise interference?

Nearby devices such as air conditioners, computer monitors, special lighting, and Meto EM systems can introduce environmental noise. This is a known issue with all EAS systems—not unique to TAGIT.

How can I improve detection in high-noise environments?

If environmental noise cannot be reduced physically, you can optimize system performance using:
- Master-Master or Turbo configurations
- Sensor-based tuning

These allow fine adjustment to ensure maximum detection reliability even in challenging conditions.

What is the maximum aisle width TAGIT EM systems support?

TAGIT 3D EM systems can detect across aisle widths up to 1.15 meters with standard setups.

How can I further maximize detection and aisle width?

- Use longer EM labels where possible
- Upgrade to Turbo Mode or Master-Master configuration with sensors
-
Apply high-performance specialty labels for critical items

These adjustments allow greater aisle flexibility and stronger detection performance.
